Initially fighting for women and child welfare, the group changed course when one of the husbands of the trustee developed a significant addiction issue. Though in vain, he was always attempting to rise out of it. The treatment centers were subpar then; there was no adequate hygiene, and food and housing standards were far below. After fighting for 12 years, the family finally healed. Experiencing the terrible struggle, these two young couples took the motto of building a treatment facility which could be a place of abode for people with substance abuse and dependency problems. PEHCHAN was founded with the dream of bearing true identity in mind, as it is somewhere in the recovery process that our lost identity and value system are being uncovered. 

To serve the patients, we have a team of top psychiatrists and psychologists. Addicts also provide 12-step Narcotics Anonymous and Alcoholics Anonymous programs. As part of our therapy approach, we aim to offer Yoga, Meditation, shirodhara, group therapy, and individual sessions. Our therapeutic philosophy revolves around excellent standards at a low cost. Many times, we observe people consider addiction a taboo and fail to recognize it as a sickness. We help them to see addiction as a conscious repetition of harmful habits. Thus, An integral effort, a good starting posture, healthy eating habits, and, most importantly, a regimented lifestyle will help heal this illness.
